Why Work with 2011 Music Group?

Why 2011 Music Group?

2011 Music Group exists to help artists build careers with clarity, confidence, and ownership.

We partner with independent artists to develop the creative, commercial, and strategic foundation needed to move with intention in today’s music industry. From brand identity and release planning to marketing, content, press, fan development, and long-term career strategy, we help artists understand who they are, what they’re building, and how to bring that vision to the world.

Real Guidance, Real Strategy

We work with artists to define and refine their brand identity, core message, audience, and creative direction. Our approach is honest, collaborative, and rooted in helping artists become more fully themselves, not forcing them into someone else’s blueprint.

Customized Growth Plans

Every artist is at a different stage. We build tailored strategies based on where you are now, where you want to go, your genre, your audience, your resources, and your long-term goals. Whether you’re preparing for your first professional release or building toward larger industry opportunities, we help create a plan that actually fits.

Independent Artist Empowerment

We believe artists should understand their worth, own their careers, and make informed decisions. 2011 Music Group supports artists through the business, creative, and strategic sides of music, helping them navigate opportunities while maintaining control of their voice, vision, and future.

Distribution, Rights, and Release Administration

We help artists navigate the infrastructure behind a professional music career, including distribution planning, release setup, metadata organization, work registration, publishing considerations, credits, split documentation, and catalog administration. Our goal is to help artists understand how their music moves through the industry, how their rights are tracked, and how to prepare their releases for commercial platforms, press, playlisting, licensing opportunities, and awards consideration.

Release, Marketing, and Content Support

We offer both “done with you” and “done for you” support across release strategy, marketing, PR, content development, campaign planning, and audience growth. Our goal is to help artists elevate their brand, expand their reach, and present their work professionally without unnecessary gatekeeping or inflated costs.

Built for the Modern Music Industry

2011 Music Group supports commercially released music and artist-driven audio and visual content through strategy, development, promotion, and industry-facing execution. We help artists prepare for meaningful opportunities across distribution, press, playlisting, live performance, brand partnerships, awards consideration, and long-term fan ecosystem building.

We do this work because artists deserve advocacy, transparency, and real support. The music industry can be confusing, expensive, and exploitative. Our mission is to equip artists with the tools, knowledge, strategy, and confidence they need to build sustainable careers on their own terms.

Builds the team and systems around each artist—production, PR, content, live, DSP, and operations.

Negotiates deals and partnerships (venues, brands, collaborators) that protect IP and accelerate exposure.

Runs the P&L with transparency—budgeting campaigns, forecasting, and reinvesting in what works.

Who is Chris @ 2011

SVP A & R + Creative

Chris Connolly leads 2011 Music Group’s live-first creative engine and A&R strategy. He shapes the songs, the look, and the show—guiding repertoire, collaborators, and studio process while designing the stagecraft, visuals, and fan experiences that make every performance feel cinematic and on-brand. Chris also owns booking/advancing and VIP operations, connecting what fans hear on record to what they feel in the room.

How Chris serves our artists

A&R & development: scouts writers/producers, curates songs, runs pre-pro, vocal/arrangement notes, coordinates sessions, and drives records from demo to master—optimizing each song for both streaming and the live set.

Stage & show design: set pieces, lighting plots, video/screen content, wardrobe guidelines, transitions, cue stacks, and run-of-show pacing.

Booking & advancing: routing, buyer relations, holds/confirmations, tech & hospitality riders, stage plots/input lists, backline, and crew calls.

VIP & fan experiences: meet-and-greets, soundcheck parties, Q&As, photo ops, limited drops, and premium on-site flows that feel personal.

On-site content capture: directs photo/video teams for multicam live recaps and same-day edits to keep momentum across socials.

Merch & per-cap optimization: table layout, pricing, inventory, cashless/QR checkout, and show-exclusive bundles tied to the moment.

Experiential marketing around key dates: geo-targeted ads, street/poster programs, creator invites, and post-show retargeting.
