About The Habit

The Habit is the kind of band that doesn’t just play the songs—they set the whole stage on fire.

Formed in early 2025, The Habit is a powerhouse collective of seasoned musicians handpicked to bring Piper Connolly’s evolving live sound to life. Though new as a unit, every member brings years of experience to the table—onstage, in-studio, and everywhere in between. What started as a backing band has quickly become a tightly bonded creative force, with a sound that’s raw, cinematic, and built to move crowds.

Serving as Piper Connolly’s official touring and studio band, The Habit represents the next chapter in her sonic evolution—turning up the volume, the chaos, and the emotion behind every performance. Together, they deliver high-octane alt-rock energy with modern pop sensibilities, creating the kind of live experience you feel in your chest.

The current lineup includes:

Landon (drums): master of groove, chaos, and controlled explosions

Julian (guitar): all tone, all heart, all attitude

Dalton (guitar): the quiet storm with riffs that don’t miss

Jordan (keys): the warmth and the sizzle

Nakota (bass): the anchor, the pulse, the low-end wizard

Izzy (backing vocals): the secret weapon, adding shimmer, shadow, and soul

Together, they’ve quickly become one of the most exciting new bands in the Southwest—supporting Piper Connolly’s meteoric rise while crafting their own sound along the way, with a live show that’s anything but background music, The Habit isn’t just here to support a star. They’re building a universe right beside her.

By Steve W., lifelong AZ music junkie, accidental fan dad

I’ve seen a lot of bands in this town — dive bars off Mill, converted pizza joints, the occasional big-ticket show when it’s worth the babysitter. I’m a 44-year-old dad with three kids (9, 14, and 15), and I don’t impress easy anymore. So when my oldest begged me to take them to see Piper Connolly & The Habit at Cactus Jack’s for their Record Store Day After Party showcase, I figured I’d hear a few shouty teen anthems, clap politely, and scroll ESPN…
