The Habit is not background noise. They are a full-force live band built on chemistry, volume, instinct, and controlled chaos.

Formed in early 2025, The Habit began as the live engine behind Piper Connolly’s explosive alt-pop and pop-rock world. But what started as a handpicked band of standout musicians quickly became something bigger: a tight, electric collective with its own identity, its own pulse, and a stage presence that refuses to sit quietly in the background.

Together, The Habit brings a raw, cinematic edge to modern rock, blending big guitars, thunderous drums, soulful keys, driving bass, layered vocals, and the kind of frontwoman energy that makes a room lean in. Their sound lives somewhere between high-voltage alt-rock, pop instinct, classic stagecraft, and the beautiful mess of coming-of-age in real time.

The Habit is:

Piper Connolly, lead vocals: the voice, the vision, the spark plug
Landon, drums: groove, chaos, and controlled explosions
Julian, guitar: tone, heart, and main-character attitude
Dalton, guitar: the quiet storm with riffs that don’t miss
Jordan, keys: warmth, shimmer, and cinematic sizzle
Nakota, bass: the anchor, the pulse, the low-end wizard
Izzy, backing vocals: the secret weapon, adding shadow, soul, and shine

Together, they are building something louder than a backing band and bigger than a moment. The Habit is a live-wire collective with a growing universe of its own, made for big stages, sweaty rooms, and the kind of songs people don’t just hear, they feel in their chest.

By Steve W., lifelong AZ music junkie, accidental fan dad

I’ve seen a lot of bands in this town — dive bars off Mill, converted pizza joints, the occasional big-ticket show when it’s worth the babysitter. I’m a 44-year-old dad with three kids (9, 14, and 15), and I don’t impress easy anymore. So when my oldest begged me to take them to see Piper Connolly & The Habit at Cactus Jack’s for their Record Store Day After Party showcase, I figured I’d hear a few shouty teen anthems, clap politely, and scroll ESPN…
